Kent Snyder, RIP

It saddens me to post the news of the passing of Kent Snyder. I’ve been familiar with his work with Ron Paul for many years. He was key in persuading Dr. Paul to run for President.

I fondly recall meeting Mr. Snyder when Dr. Paul came to the Free State Project’s New Hampshire Liberty Forum in 2007 (the first one). There was a little fundraiser in the home of a New Hampshire liberty lover. That little gathering was attended by a couple hundred people and raised far more money than anyone expected. That was well prior to the official campaign announcement, and before Dr. Paul had even decided to run. Soon after that, the Paul campaign was born.

So much attention is focused on the face that people know. Often, there is someone behind the scenes (sometimes more than one person) who also work hard to make things happen. Those people are the unsung heroes. Kent Snyder was one of those people. He quietly worked all during the Liberty Forum and during that fundraiser. His work ethic showed through and was a critical component of Paul’s successful campaign.

Thank you Kent Snyder for leaving the world a better place than you found it.

I’m sorry to hear that. Was he a Christian do you think?
