Is there such a thing as “getting back to Normal”?
If there is, that’s where I’m getting to. I made it home from my last trip (and yes, ultimately did get out of hell… and got my bag back, too!). We had our first out of town guests come for Thanksgiving. It was quite nice to see friends in our new place already. This coming Sunday we’re having what’s shaping up to be a huge meet and greet. I’m a bit concerned now that we won’t know where to put everyone?!?
So I’ve been back to ‘normal’ work now. I paid the bills in an almost organized fashion. There’s still a few odds and ends to do, but we need to finish the last piece of work on the office, which is scheduled to happen tomorrow (paint the ceiling and clean the carpets). Once that’s done, I *hope*, we’ll finally be done with house work. Whew!
I even had enough time that I upgraded my operating system yesterday. I’m up to Mandrake 10.1 now. It’s a significant improvement from 10.0 (which was a bit buggy for my taste). It’s also available on DVD now which is a significant improvement from a stack of CD’s. It installed right away without any difficulty. I’ve even got the built in wifi working now 😉
So, though there’s no such thing as normal around our place, I dare say we’re getting back to normal. And it feels oh so good!
