Well, here it is. Nobody asked me to do this, I just decided to do it. I’m rather uncertain as to who in the world would be interested in reading a journal of mine, but if there’s someone out there who’s interested, read along. I can’t promise the moon, but I’ll try to keep it interesting, and it’ll certainly be varied. If there’s one thing I am, it’s varied. My interests are eclectic, and some of them are a bit unusual. You’re more likely to find something about cuban trumpeters or obscure libertarian candidates than popular sports or TV shows here.
What do I hope to accomplish here??? Maybe I don’t even know the answer to that question. But I do know this, I look at the world (and I see a lot of it) differently than most people. In a way, I hope this helps me to refine my thinking about life and all its various facets. And, of course, I hope it helps you to discover something new about yourself.
I’ll probably talk a lot about travel and flying all around the world. I’ll certainly talk about the taboo topics (religion and politics). I might dote on my kids a bit (any proud dad would have to do that). Hey, I might dote on my wife too 😉 (no, she didn’t make me write that).
And, BTW, I’m me. I’m really Varrin. Yes, it’s an unusual name (a story for another journal entry, probably). I’m easy to find and I’m not making any attempt to be anonymous or secret. I figure I’m having enough fun being me, I don’t really have to be anyone else, in real life, or right here.
