Busy week

So far, it’s been a very busy week, but I’m still alive.

I got home Sunday evening. Edi had asked me if I would play piano this coming Sunday at church. I told her I would if she’d have music ready for me when I got home. She had music ready for me when I got home Sunday night. Monday, she had Supermoms and I was still pretty tired from my trip. I worked on some of the music during my free time on Monday. Tuesday, Edi was out again (= me watching the kids), and I finished up arrangements on the music.

Yesterday, was especially busy. I had to make sure Edi had all the music ready to copy for the band and singers. Then I took her to the church for a meeting. Then, the kids and I went and got her lunch (neither of us had eaten yet), delivered it to her (filled up with gas along the way… for under $4 a gallon, no less), and came back for quick naps for the kids (I practiced more). They got up a little early to get ready for gymnastics, which I took them to, then we hustled back to the church for rehearsal (Edi had been there the whole time working). After our late dinner together, we were all pretty worn out.

Today, Edi’s off to another lunch meeting, then I’m heading over to play some music with another guy from church (he’s been gone for a year or so with the military). Then, tonight is blues night downtown, so I’ll try to make it to that. Tomorrow morning Erin has another eye appointment and Edi and I have some time scheduled in the evening (no babysitter luck yet). Saturday, Edi’s tied up all day with a rehearsal and a wedding. Sunday, of course, is Church, and then a dinner-time meeting for me.

I leave for work Tuesday, which leaves Monday to get ready. At some point, I’ll have to get to bills, laundry, and so on. Hopefully I can do some of it before Monday, but with this schedule, it’s looking iffy. And I just opened my shipment of pilot shirts… I bought new shirts for the first time in 12 years (frugal, eh?) only to discover they shorted me two shirts. One more phone call to make…..
