I just noticed the first few thumbs don’t load and the first picture doesn’t load at all (the full size images of the rest do load). I spent about three minutes trying to fix them and couldn’t. I’ll probably give up.
For me, one of the biggest highlights was knowing that the government didn’t have anything to do with this. Okay, actually they did. Rutan mentioned that one of the biggest hurdles they had to overcome was regulatory. And someone from the FAA (*not* the administrator) showed up to pin wings on Mike Melvill and designate Mojave the first inland space port. Funny how government wants to put their ‘stamp of approval’ on something they not only didn’t have anything to do with, but they likely obstructed. Okay, it’s not funny, it’s tragic…
Anyway, I would have posted all this last night, but I was beat after we got home. Then we went to Yosemite all day today, so this is the first chance I had to do it. Enjoy…
