A quickie

So when I wrote “Packing” in the subject line, that drew at least one misconception. This outta do at least that well 😉

But this *is* the quickie (sorry y’all… the juicy stuff is gonna have to wait for now). Been packing this week. Do you have any idea how much work it is to pack framed artwork? Good grief. Remind me never to move again (I said that last time, too). Or at least not to move so far.

I still haven’t uploaded the Monterey Jazz Fest pics yet (nor have I written the story). I’ll get to it… eventually.

The house is finally coming along. After what seemed like an eternity of frustration with the whole process of getting a plan put together, it’s going up *really* quickly. I’ve been getting pictures regularly now (thanks, David… can’t wait to meet ya!) and it’s looking more and more like a house now. Today I FedEx’d off a new contract and a 21 page document that has evolved (over the last 2 1/2 months) to be “the document” describing all the details. It’s finally as done as it’s gonna be. Now we pack, drive, and move in. And…

I CAN’T WAIT!!!

But here’s the real gem of a closer… Ya ready for this?

I called the Keene Post Office to check on whether they could hold mail for us until we arrive. The gal that answered the phone (I should have gotten her name) was NICE and HELPFUL! I was stunned! If they’re as good at delivering the mail out there as she was on the phone to me, I might actually be happy with the Post Office for the first time in my life. Wouldn’t that just be weird…

Cool, glad to hear it’s all coming together. And it’s also nice that the post office is better there. All they have to do now is allow competition and I will be really happy with them.

Yeah, first class mail competition would be excellent. I wonder what a FedEx stamp would cost??? 😉
