So first things first,
Thanks to …. the unnamed poster who left the first comment on my LJ… Glad you enjoyed Florida 😉 I’ve been missin Florida myself. And it looks like we’ll probably not take a trip there in ’05 since everyone’s pretty much coming up to visit us in New Hampshire between now and next fall. What a way to break in a ‘new life’ huh?? 😉
So here I find myself in the pit of…….. Louisiana. Now if any of you are from Louisiana, I apoligize for … calling your state names 😉 I slept in today, which really shouldn’t be that big of a deal. I didn’t realize it’s almost impossible to eat a meal at 3:30 in the afternoon on a weekday in the downtown of a city of nearly 50,000. Rest assured you’d have no problem finding a place to eat in Keene, NH, a town half this size. But my quest for food took me to the only place open downtown – a McDonalds in (get this) the hospital. Need I say more???
I finally got my bag back. Now I have $200 or so worth of receipts to send to Air France. What a hassle that was. Fortunately everything was still in it. It had been rifled through several times (obviously), but at least they left my shirts folded.
Been having an interesting conversation with a friend whose political persuasion I can’t quite nail down. All he knows for certain is that, no way, he’s *not* a libertarian. He forwarded me a site that is intended to be a ‘rebuttal’ of libertarianism. It’s found here:

I wrote about 10 pages of response but ultimately drew tired of rebutting the poorly written and significanlty flawed non-libertarian FAQ. Most amusing was his ‘challenge’ to make a libertarian place (city, county, state). Guess he hasn’t heard of the Free State Project yet 😉 Anyone at Porc Fest must have some sense of confidence that this group will accomplish great things. I know I do…
