Well, turns out my previous blog<\/a> about Fox, though correctly linking to comments on the Forum issue, may have been based on bad information which got its bump most notably from AP. The whole story<\/a> is convoluted but there continues to be misinformation and\/or outright confusion starting when AP reported<\/a> on the forum two days ago announcing the event, including: “Participating in the forum will be Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.”<\/p>\n

It’s unclear as to whether there is even such an event or whether AP just plain screwed up. The Union Leader, though not truly culpable, contributed to the error a day earlier with more or less a report of uncertainty. It was further propagated by several other sources leading to the Paul quote I linked in the previous entry. Oops…<\/p>\n

This does, of course, illustrate just how interested in justice Paul’s supporters really are. The noise generated in a brief period of time was rather amazing, including right here on this blog. <\/p>\n

Aside from the debate issue, my remaining comments and analysis about Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS, and MSNBC all stand. Though that one blatant piece of bias has been debunked, numerous others remain. When it becomes more clear, maybe I’ll post again…<\/p>\n

GOP candidates to meet in N.H. forum<\/p>\n

WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 The New Hampshire Republican Party is sponsoring a forum for Republican presidential candidates on Jan. 6, two days before the state’s first-in-the-nation primary.<\/p>\n

The forum, where the candidates will be questioned by Fox New Channel’s Chris Wallace, will be held a day after ABC holds back to back Democratic and Republican presidential debates.<\/p>\n

“Never underestimate New Hampshire voters’ appetite for politics,” said Fergus Cullen, the chairman of the state Republican Party.<\/p>\n

Participating in the forum will be Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.<\/p>\n

Unlike a debate, the candidates will face questions from Wallace around a table in a studio on the campus of St. Anselm College in Goffstown, N.H.. The 90-minute encounter will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel and on Fox News Radio.<\/p>\n
