Today, I visited Mega Pon on Gottschedstrasse in Leipzig, Germany. One blogger thinks it is the second best laundromat<\/a> in the world, having been dethroned by the ever popular Brain Wash<\/a> in San Francisco. Brain Wash is apparently so good, it won a Yahoo award<\/a> for world’s best cybercafe’s. <\/p>\n

Mega Pon was definitely cool… more cafe than laundromat and not cyber as far as I can tell. But I was able to do a load of laundry there as I ate a really yummy (and large) Irish breakfast and drank maybe the single largest cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life. It came in a bowl, no handles, with three M&M’s on the side. Nice touch. It opens at 2 on weekdays and 10 on weekends, but I was the only customer in there when I arrived (around 11ish) for quite a while. Then people started showing up for late lunch. Was definitely a better way to do laundry than most places, but now that I’ve read about Brain Wash, I’m wishing I was washing in San Fran. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
