An Airline Captain went out on a first date with a girl who, of course, he hoped would become his girlfriend. He took her to a nice restaurant for dinner. They sat down and ordered their meal.<\/p>\n
Since she didn’t start right up with conversation, he decided to start talking. He talked… and talked… He told his life story… he talked, and talked, and talked, all about himself… <\/p>\n
For a few minutes, she enjoyed hearing about him. As the minutes grew to a half an hour, and then an hour, she became less interested. She couldn’t get a word in edge wise. She grew more and more irritated, finally becoming so irritated that, after nearly three hours, the self-absorbed Captain finally took notice. <\/p>\n
“Enough about me,” he said, “let’s talk about airplanes.”<\/p>\n
